Biography

A dynamic fusion of indie, psychedelic rock, and world beat, The Appointments invite you into their sonic world on their debut EP, Microcosm: Side A. Pulsating rhythms and syncopated percussion drive a nostalgic and rich sound  with the raw energy of mid-2000s garage rock & brotherly harmonies. The Appointments are equal parts The Wailers, My Morning Jacket, the Police and Sublime.

Two brothers and founding members of The Appointments, Rhys and Eli Love grew up in a music loving household, with both parents exposing them to a wide pallet of music genres. There is a seemingly telepathic music connection when they play music together. Since the band’s inception, Duncan Brown (Percussion, Keys), Kurt Speirs (Bass) and Aidan Liddle (Guitar) have joined the collective, adding influencing the band’s jam sessions that are carved into tracks.

Instinctively independent, the band’s tracks are self recorded and produced by their frontman, and propelled by a live band at home playing festival stages, supporting Australian artists across the genre spectrum, and headline their own tours along the east coast.
